Silence, Made Visible

After six months in a quiet Buddhist monastery, I returned to Ecuador, where noise is part of daily life. For me, as a neurodivergent person, that level of stimulation was overwhelming.

My photographs are my response. Through them, I try to build a quiet place where the eye can rest, a world of stillness and silence that anyone can step into, even if only for a moment. I look for scenes that hold their breath: empty spaces, soft light, and a slowness that invites you to stay a little longer. I want each image to work like a pause, a small refuge from the constant noise around us. Silence, for me, is not an absence but a presence, something you can feel in the stillness of a frame and carry with you when you look away.
