A Bottomless Reservoir of Joy

This series represents images that have left me with a profound sense of joy—moments of witnessing another's delight, feeling myself dissolve into nature's embrace, precious hours with my son, or the time I spend in nature. Sometimes with a camera, sometimes with a sketchbook or a pair of binoculars. None of those moments involved shopping or looking at a screen. They are there, always available if we make the effort to find them. Joy, I have come to understand, differs from happiness. It runs deeper, awakening something vaster than the small, grasping ego forever chasing ephemeral contentment. Joy touches what endures.
