Bosque Seco de los Guayacanes is a protected area in southern Ecuador where, once a year, the Golden trumpet tree or Guayacán blooms for a few days, turning the monotonous gray and green landscape into a painting of saturated yellows. There are thousands of pictures of this event, but I found that few do justice to the true colors of the place. Hence, I have either taken pictures out of focus or intentionally moved the camera at low shutter speeds to remove the forms and to capture the escence of the colors.
